HORSES AVAILABLE AT FERNIEHIRST MILL

All the following horses are forward going and keen. All are capable of speeds in excess of 30mph.
Although they are generally well behaved out on hacks, as long as they are correctly ridden, some may occasionally put in a high-spirited buck or a shy. None of these horses, even the ones described as quiet, are suitable for novices or very nervous riders to hack out on although the quieter ones are suitable for lessons for novices and nervous riders.

ED - Welsh Cob / I.D., chestnut, gelding, 14.3hh.
Keen but straightforward ride.
Max weight – 11st.

GEORGE - Welsh cob type, bay, gelding, 15hh.
Only suitable for extremely capable, confident rider.
Max weight – 12st.

BOB -Cob piebald, gelding, 14hh.
Keen but straightforward ride. A fun pony.
Max weight – 12 st.

MURPHY - Standardbred type, bay, gelding, 15.2hh.
Keen but straightforward ride.
Max weight – 12st.

RITCHIE - T.B./ I.D., chestnut, gelding, 16.3hh.
Straightforward ride.
Max weight – 12.5 st.

FRIDAY - Welsh Cob, brown, mare, 14hh.
Extremely forward going (bit too keen). Very sensitive. Needs a very quiet, confident
rider.
Max weight – 10.5st.
